Diving Courses

From recreational to professional and technical training, our courses are designed to support every step of your diving journey, whether you’re discovering the ocean for the first time or pushing the limits of exploration.

Precision. Depth. Mastery.

Technical

Playa del Carmen is one of the world’s best playgrounds for technical diving. Home to both the legendary Cenotes with their overhead environments and the deep walls of El Cantil, the dramatic drop-off between Playa and Cozumel. For divers who crave depth, challenge, and precision, our technical courses open up a whole new world of exploration. Learn advanced skills like decompression diving, sidemount, and gas management under expert guidance. Whether you’re venturing deeper, diving longer, or entering overhead environments, our training combines rigorous standards with a strong focus on safety, planning, and control.

Tec Sidemount

Redefine Your Dive Profile with Sidemount

The TDI Sidemount Diver course teaches divers how to use the sidemount configuration – wearing cylinders mounted on the sides rather than on the back. Originally developed for cave diving, sidemount has become increasingly popular in both recreational and technical diving due to its comfort, modularity, and redundancy.

Prerequisites:

  • RMinimum certification: Open Water Diver (TDI, PADI, SSI, or equivalent)
  • RMinimum age: 18 years (or 15 with parental consent, according to standards)
  • RNo prior technical diving experience required (Nitrox certification is a plus)

TEC SIDEMOUNT INCLUDES

Theory:

  • Advantages and disadvantages of sidemount

  • Harness configuration and adjustment

  • Gas management and redundancy

  • Streamlining and body positioning
Confined water sessions:

  • Buoyancy, trim, regulator switching

  • Safety drills (leak detection, gas sharing, etc.)
Open water dives:

  • Minimum of 2 dives (often more in practice)

  • Real-world implementation of sidemount configuration in dive scenarios

Cavern

Discover the Thrill of Cavern Diving

This course introduces divers to cavern diving – in areas illuminated by natural light and within close proximity to the exit. The focus is on safety, use of guide lines, and basic techniques for confined environments.

Prerequisites:

  • ROpen Water Diver (or equivalent)
  • R18 years old (or 15 with parental consent)
  • RGood control of buoyancy and propulsion techniques

CAVERN INCLUDES

  • Cavern-specific dive planning

  • Use of safety lines (guideline deployment and management)

  • Light management (minimum of 2 lights)

  • Propulsion techniques that avoid damaging the environment

  • Rule of thirds for gas management
$1200

Intro to cave

Step Deeper into the Underground

This course is the logical continuation of the Cavern Diver program. It allows divers to go deeper into a cave system, beyond the daylight zone, but without passing through tight or complex passages.

Prerequisites:

  • RCertified TDI Cavern Diver
  • RGood physical condition and mastery of equipment configuration (often taught in sidemount or doubles)
  • RMinimum age: 18 years

INTRO TO CAVE INCLUDES

  • Advanced navigation along the main line and offshoots

  • Team management and failure protocols (loss of visibility, gas, or contact)

  • Stress management in overhead environments

  • Appropriate communication techniques (light signals and hand gestures)
$1300

Full Cave

From Diver to Explorer: Go Full Cave

This course enables divers to become autonomous cave divers, capable of planning and executing complex dives in caves that involve multiple navigations, restrictions, circuits, and traverses (jumps, gaps, T’s, loops, etc.).

Prerequisites:

  • RCertified TDI Intro to Cave Diver
  • RSolid experience in overhead environments
  • RComplete mastery of buoyancy control, trim, and emergency procedures

FULL CAVE INCLUDES

  • Advanced navigation: multi-line routes, traverses, circuits

  • Introduction to advanced redundancy: use of multiple spools, jump reels

  • Realistic emergency scenarios: lost line, light failure, gas outage

  • Continuous penetration assessment: profile, distance, depth
